5. More focus on health and wellness of every employee
Nobody can perform at their peak if they are sick physically or even mentally. A good wellness program should be organized to boost the health of employees. Along with this, encouraging employees to take a stroll before work or 10 minutes of stretching will help them in the long run. You can also promote preventive measures and offer nutritional snacks. Advising employees to curb vices such as alcohol consumption and smoking also helps.
6. Do not Micromanage!
Hovering around anybody to get desired results raises resentment amongst the teammates. This is one of the parts of micromanagement. Micromanagement essentially means controlling each and every aspect of a process. This involves expecting your employees to work in a definite manner, in a definite style, and at definite times. However, it is a fruitless process in the long run as employees begin to quit.
The solution is to clearly communicate the desired results with specific timelines. When the task is assigned, all tools and resources should be provided, and proper help must be given when there is a need. Being a nosy manager will not give expected results every time and hamper the team’s productivity.

Employees’ ability to focus is hugely dependent on the physical environment in which he or she is present. The office’s architecture, ergonomics, amount of lighting, color significantly impact the efficiency of everyone present in the team. For example, natural lighting reduces a lot of stress and negativity. Similarly, colors have a lot of effect on the psychology of any individual.
