WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION Negotiation of commercial conditions with suppliers, concludes contracts in full accordance with the requirements of the production activity and with the interests of the company Identification, evaluation and selection of potential suppliers Collaboration with the suppliers and follow-up that the terms of the contract are respected Visits to suppliers to familiarize themselves with the employees and their equipment Leading continuous improvement activities Actively guiding and following buyer in carrying out specific activities Responsibility for the good development and timely fulfillment of the projects Computer and electronics knowledge, usage and improvements for the software systems used in the company Development and improvement of reports that support sourcing and procurement activities Responsibility for the timely updating of contractual data in the ERP system ensuring its proper functioning Responsibility for issuing and launching timely orders to suppliers based on the commercial conditions and parameters of the ERP system Guiding suppliers to ensure that they are working according to the nVent quality policy and standards YOU HAVE Specialized university degree Previous experience of minimum 5 years in supply chain Fluency in English Advanced knowledge of computer operation (office package) Advanced knowledge of MS Excel Analytical skills and structured method of operation Good negotiation skills Excellent interpersonal skills Leadership capabilities Flexibility/adaptability Ability to make decisions under stress Discretion and confidentiality KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Analytical and research - Having the ability to interpret complex data and to assess different scenarios, you can also translate this into meaningful, useful information that informs decision-making Attention to detail - With an eye for detail, you achieve thoroughness and accuracy in your activities Leadership - actively guiding and following the team in carrying out specific activities Collaborative - You ask and you listen, you take ideas on board and work with your team, taking everyone in the same direction Communication - excellent oral and written communication skills WE HAVE A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day We are a $2 billion, high-performance electrical company with a dedicated team of 8,800 people and trusted brands such as CADDY, ERICO, HOFFMAN, RAYCHEM, SCHROFF and TRACER.
