Job DescriptionThe Frontend WordPress Web Developer executes the technical implementation and execution of all frontend-based projects and applications within Commvault Marketing. This role is responsible for executing high-quality responsive web pages and projects with pixel-perfect attention to detail, ensuring our WordPress website is optimized for pagespeed and performance, and contributes to the optimization and development of our customized WordPress CMS. The Frontend WordPress Web Developer must have extensive experience programming with JavaScript, CSS, Sass/Less, PHP, HTML, and developing on the WordPress platform specifically. This person must be able to work independently, as well as communicate and work alongside a remote digital marketing ideal candidate must be able to handle multiple projects, consistently meet deadlines, and produce fully functional web projects from start to finish. A thorough understanding of mobile first responsive techniques and user experience is essential. Familiarity with browser compatibility, user interface requirements, cross-platforming, and managing a front-end component library are important to this position. Responsibilities Work closely with the Web Development Manager to plan, execute, troubleshoot and fix front-end related WordPress issuesDevelop web pages and products that meet a very high standard, both from a responsive pixel-perfect perspective, as well as a page performance perspectiveOversee and execute cross-browser and device testing to ensure full functionality and browser/device compatibilityPosts and deploys tested and approved coded data to active websitesRegularly updates active websites maintained by Commvault, including existing code, to ensure sites stay functional as technology and client needs requireStays current on frontend programming-related technology trends and innovations, and communicates regularly with Commvault team regarding training needs, or hardware and software upgrades to stay currentHelp maintain clean, documented code standards to ensure platform upgradeabilityEnsure all tracking is working properly from a development standpointHelp manage Google Tag manager, ensuring scripts are being properly fired across web propertiesFocus on site speed and scalability to provide the best possible customer experienceAbility to attend and participate in meetings during the Eastern Time Zone (UTC-05:00) Requirements Experience leading web development projects from start to finishExperience with a strong track record of building highly scalable web based front ends using HTML, JS, CSS, and PHPKnowledge of Javascript and experience writing custom WordPress blocks using with APIsExperience with Content Management Systems, specifically WordPress +Understanding of UX/UIExperience with mockup and UI prototyping tools, specifically Invision and SketchStrong Understanding of security best practicesKnowledge of basic SEO principlesExperience working with Google Tag ManagerExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English Nice to have Full-Stack Development ExperienceExperience using POEdit to create and update WordPress translation filesUnderstanding of how to use and maintain WordPress Multi-site and child themes to manage localized versions of a siteKnowledge of modern PHP to build custom WordPress themes and pluginsExperience integrating third-party marketing tools with WordPress, specially Marketo, Salesforce, and DriftExperience with DevOps, Docker, or implementing WebpackExperience implement testing and QA tools Commvault is an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
