The Credit Suisse Global Cloud Engineering team are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen eye for solving infrastructure problems through software automation. We are presently designing and building a new greenfield private Cloud Infrastructure using the latest in Dell/VMware technology. Our vision is to create a low/no touch centrally configured Cloud Service, which can be maintained and operated using modern DevOps CI/CD SRE processes and an API based micro-service framework. N/A - pending TWWW agreement Your skills and experience Essentials Technical Skills Enterprise experience of Cloud Management Platforms on VMware vRealize Automation and VMware vRealize Orchestrator. Excellent practical knowledge of Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Converged (VxBlock) and Hyper Converged Infrastructure (VxRail). Software Defined Data Centre technologies deployed using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and NSX-T. Core understanding of widely used commercial ecosystem components (AD, DNS, IPAM, REST, Certificates, O/S, ServiceNow) which are used to provision and maintain tenant workloads. Bachelors Degree in computer information technology or 5 years relevant experience. Desired Technical Skills Automation Software Development experience in JavaScript, Python, Ruby or any other scripting languages (PowerCLI, PowerShell, Perl, Bash). Responsible for managing all technical aspects that enable successful building, deploying and testing of software. Experience with DevOps models, CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and Configuration Management such as Puppet, Salt, Satellite or Ansible. Implementing and operating Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or similar. Virtualisation of Linux/Windows/CoreOS guests using ESX with strong background in network (NSX), security and storage (ViPR). Familiarisation of Splunk and/or Elastic Log Search technologies. REST API using Postman and interaction with API Gateway Frameworks like Apigee, Apiary or similar. Active use of Atlassian software development tools and/or similar. Essentials Non-Technical Skills Provide thought leadership and be able to represent the Cloud Engineering Team on many fronts. Excellent interaction with external vendors preferably DellEMC and VMware to find solutions to problems. Swift ability to traverse a global organisation to find answers to questions. Able to accurately track and provide timely status updates on their assigned projects upon request. Can multitask whilst working under pressure to complete required activities on time, as agreed. Has the ability to operate as a member of a team and can perform actions independently of others. Help drive consensus within Engineering teams, Product managers and Technical Domain Architects Pro-actively takes ownership of issues and can drive forward to resolution. Team player with strong problem solving (RCA / Documentation) skills Comfortable communicating to senior leadership and can adjust communication style based on the audience. Can provide oversight, support and guidance to junior members of the Cloud Engineering Team. Desired Non-Technical Skills Experience working within a global technical team.
