Responsibilities Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement. Plans database upgrades by maintaining , evaluating, and improving a transaction processing model 3 years of experience on AWS in particular with deep technical hands-on experience on RDS and Aurora Experience using AWS Database Migration Service Experience with AWS Cloud Adoption Framework RDBMS skills SQL, optimization techniques, etc. AWS Professional Level Certification The candidate will possess both technical and customer-facing skills Possessing Relational Database implementation and operations experience. Very strong Oracle and/or SQL Server experience. Practical experience with Database, administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting on one or more of following MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle. Experience setting up and monitoring / alarming for production Database environments Implementation and tuning experience of Databases including knowledge of Schema Design, Query Tuning and Optimization, and Data Migration and Integration. Experience of requirements for the analytics presentation layer including Dashboards, Reporting, and OLAP. Experience in database migrations . Oracle to Opensource or Cloud-based database. Strong hands-on experience leading large-scale database projects. Exposure to security concepts / best practices Knowledge of the underlying infrastructure requirements such as networking, server, and hardware optimization. Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams. Assesses database performance by developing a protocol for measurement of results and identification of problem areas. Supports database performance by monitoring database performance; evaluating and resolving processing and programming problems; designing database management tools; answering user questions. Secures database by preparing access and control policies and procedures; implementing disaster recovery procedures. Designing schema, access patterns, locking strategy, SQL development, and tuning. Modifying the database structure Optimizing application and end-user queries (reactive tuning) Archiving data Generating needed ad hoc reports by querying from the database Proactive performance tuning Parameter configuration and tuning Cache management Job scheduling Monitoring performance metrics, response times, and request rates Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic Gather and address technical and design requirements Provide training and support to internal teams Build reusable code and libraries for future use Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features Follow emerging technologies
