Warehouse Lead We are looking for a Warehouse Lead who will be responsible for the day to day operation of warehousing. Shall oversee the safe receipt, storage and retrieval of goods. Shall be responsible to ensure workplace health and safety requirements and take responsibility for the housekeeping as well as security of the building and stock. shall participate and contribute in logistics activities within factory and shall be engaged in cost reduction, improve service levels and effective utilization of warehouse resources. This is an permanent role based at Chakan, Pune. What you will do As Warehouse Lead you will: Drive factory daily warehouse operations: Ensure goods receipts from raw material suppliers as well as resolve issues that might arise with inbound deliveries at warehouse / port / customs / transportation company administer and manage documentation for all inbound goods of factory (., invoices, customs documentation) Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene and security. Manage stock control and reconcile physical inventory with ERP data Operational logistics optimization : Actively participate in WCM to attack Logistics losses (both in costs and service level) impacting the factory, involving other stakeholders as needed (. Supplier Management, carriers). Closely working with various stakeholders, to optimize internal and outsourced resources to maximize short and midterm capacity utilization and efficient usage of warehousing space. Work closely with production, Production Planning and material planning team to ensure proper inventory management (., inventory reduction, populating aging reports, eliminate scraping) Secure logistics quality of service towards supplier, incl. claim and complaints management / root cause analysis / eradication Tactical logistics management : Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive logistics activities at factory level for lowest possible total logistics cost and improved service level Participate in quarterly business reviews with LSPs and take corrective action as required (., with transportation companies, CHA, forwarding agents, warehouses if any) in collaboration with Supplier Management Governance and Relationship: Participate and contribute in weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings both internally as well as with the Logistics companies Freight as well as warehousing It will be added advantages having: A comprehensive understanding of the inbound process including liaising with shipping line, Custom House Agents, Container Freight Stations and inland container Depot. Well verse in 3PL companies, Carrier knowledge, Transport preparation loading practices, packing to prevent damage Transport solutions experienced in routes and analysis of modes of transport. Who you are We believe you have: Graduate with MBA in Logistics or International business 5-8 years' experience in manufacturing set up in logistics Experience in any or all of the following domains: Freight Forwarding Transportation Inventory Management Warehousing/ Distribution Experience in Manufacturing industry & in dealing with global suppliers Excellent understanding of efficient materials flow and best practice SAP experience shall be added advantage. Computer literacy, to include MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook Strong numerical reasoning along with an ability to interpret and analyse incomplete information and make predictions based on trend and first principles. Excellent communication skills.
