In this position, the analyst understands the issue raised by users, analyses it functionally & technically and co-ordinates with different application support and development teams to provide a resolution. ResponsibilitiesDirect ResponsibilitiesManagement of issues raised by Finance & Risk departmentsTransversal activities Primary perimeter includes the general ledger, reporting platforms and related business process & technology set-up Understand, analyze and validate the issue against business & technical processes Co-ordinate with Application Production Support and Development & Maintenance teams for resolution Identify and suggest the possible temporary, tactical and permanent solutions to issues Validate root cause and resolution, identify and escalate topics as appropriate. Maintain issue inventory, management information summary Communication with stakeholders Coordinate monthly, quarterly, annual close processes between users, APS & ADM teams. Engage stakeholders in meetings, steering committees etc to address issues Support for Ledgers - Parameterization, Maintenance, Closing ProcessesManage, analyze and implement requirements from users for parameterization, scheduling and analysis. Address user queries and issues on functional topics and coordination on integrated technical topics. Coordinate monthly and quarterly close processes between Finance and IT teams. Planning and coordinating with stakeholders for implementing changes. Testing: Perform functional, integration, regression and systems testing where there is a change in the upstream systems along with standardized the testing process and documentation Implementation Co-ordinate with the stakeholders to obtain approvals and sign off on the change Develop implementation plans with Finance Users and IT Provide post implementation support including troubleshooting, track business process changes etc. Contributing ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with the team to ensure administration, reporting, resiliency, etc. Collaborate with Global Finance, Risk users and the BA and IT community to improve processes Contribute to innovation & change Technical & Behavioral Competencies Knowledge of Finance close & reporting process (monthly, quarterly, year-end reporting, FX rates and conversion, consolidation etc). Knowledge of Atlas2 General Ledger system (highly preferred but not mandatory). Basic knowledge of Capital Markets/products and Accounting Very good SQL skills. Use of MS Excel for reconciliation & analysis. Comfortable with basic office tools (MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Knowledge of reference data, database parametrization, inter-relationships, tables and hierarchies Database concepts like tables, views, queries, BI reports Very strong communication, negotiation and persuasion skills Very good analytical skills Independent handling of tasks and drive to complete it end to end.
