Responsibilities Good understanding of US and India GAAPAnalyzes P&L reporting, cost center reporting, Budget vs Actual and variance month-end closing activities and prepares financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, profit-and-loss, and other accounting statements and participates in interim and year-end audits with internal and external auditorsDevelops and maintains records of all general ledger accounts and all monthly and quarterly journal entries necessary for monthly close; enters journal entries, reconciles all accounts and investigates reconciling itemsMaintains compliance with accounting standards and regulations (., . GAAP, SOX, and local regulations) Prepares, records, and analyzes accounting transactionsConfident and established in the fundamentals of technical accounting including balance sheet reconciliation creation/reviewsLiaise with department managers and effectively communicate financial and production of key management reports with appropriate narrative and financial risks and opportunitiesBusiness Partnering advisory support to specific business functions (R&D, Marketing)Acts as finance contact for function by providing in depth knowledge of functionLead ad-hoc projects and develop financial reportingReview and document current business processes and create process improvement recommendations for implementatiPerform other duties as may be reasonably assigned within the jobholder’s the setup up of new general ledger accounts, dimensions and integrations into the ERP system; identifies and documents process improvementsContributes to moderately complex projects Qualifications Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field requiredProfessional qualification Qualified or Semi qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant Preferred Work Experience (years) Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Accounting and FinanceKey Skills and Competencies Broad knowledge of accounting practices and principles Strong analytical and financial modelling skills Advanced Excel and database skills Advance Experience with ERP system High degree of accuracyConfident at working to deadlines Prior experience of working within a Finance department Soft Skills Strong interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Team player Adaptability
