As a Global Sales Support Representative, Distribution Specialist you will work within a team that specializes in supporting Microchips channel partners. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of support for Microchips distributors including managing distributor backlog, managing expedite requests and working through delivery challenges & supply chain issues. You will work closely with our planning team to resolve supply shortages, as well as host and participate in client escalation calls. You will work closely with our sales team to provide support & updates on delivery status. You will support our distributors by providing answers to all customer service questions including questions related to lead times and finished goods availability. You will be a liaison between the distributor and our product marketing teams to provide answers to product related questions & alternative devices. You will perform a variety of internal tasks that include working with our GSS tactical teams to correct EDI errors, working to review & release order holds and making manual adjustments to backlog when necessary. Occasional travel to Microchip Sales Offices and distributor sites to build relationships. Job Requirements Bachelors degree in business or related field and a minimum of five years direct customer service experience specializing in providing support to clients in the area of supply chain management is strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written. Ability to communicate thoroughly & effectively both internally as well as externally to clients. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Must have adequate knowledge of the semiconductor industry, particularly with experience in the distribution channel. Must have excellent problem solving skills and possess a strong desire to work towards continuous improvement. Must be organized and be able to manage time effectively. Must be able to work well under pressure & handle a high volume of activities. Must be a team player, with the ability to work well with others and participate in cross-functional teams. Must be customer service oriented with a strong desire to help & serve clients.
